CECIL BEATON. THE DANDY PHOTOGRAPHER.

Cecil Beaton (1904-1980). English photographer and theatrical designer. Known mainly for his innovative portraits of celebrities and people of politics. In the 20s he became a staff photographer for Vanity Fair and Vogue. In World War II he travelled in Africa and Far East covering the war. Beaton also became famous for being the official photographer for the British royal family. This new British Council touring exhibition consist of 108 modern prints by Sir Cecil Beaton
